Starting Tuesday, October 7th, I will begin my weekly residency at RONIN 浪人 / Arcade with Tuesday Groove Society.
Tuesday Groove Society is more than an event…
It’s a gathering of BLACK MUSIC connoisseurs and lovers, united by a shared passion.
From October to November, our journey unfolds across eight episodes, each one exploring a new chapter of Black music: from Hip-Hop and R&B to Neo-Soul, Funk, and Soul classics.
Every Tuesday, we celebrate timeless grooves, genuine connections, and the art of good drinking,  together creating a space where music, culture, and community meet.

Enjoy an aperitivo with finger foods served by Piccolo, the Japanese osteria on the ground floor, complemented by superb cocktails and the finest mixology at Arcade’s bar.

Tuesday Groove Society is an 8-night residency running from October to November and  iIt is a musical series dedicated to exploring the richness of Black music and its culture.
Each Tuesday, the journey unfolds through a different theme, with one hour of DJ set focused on a specific story, sound, or vibe within Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Funk, Dancehall, and beyond.

Like a TV series, every episode carries its own subtitle and reveals a unique perspective on the music we love. These themes are not meant to tell the full story: they are glimpses, sneak peeks into a much bigger universe that cannot be contained in 8 nights.

Every Tuesday is a chapter.
Every groove is a clue.
Every set is an invitation to dive deeper.

Episode 1. The Golden Era

Step into the 90s, when Hip-Hop and R&B shaped the soundtrack of a generation. From boom bap beats to slow jams, this episode celebrates the timeless classics that still move us today.

Episode 2. Funkology

Dive into the science of groove. From James Brown’s rhythms to Parliament’s cosmic funk, discover the foundation that made the world dance and gave birth to modern Black music.

Episode 3. The Soulquarians

A collective that changed everything: D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, Questlove, J Dilla, Common. Their sound blurred boundaries and redefined the future of Soul and Hip-Hop.

Episode 4. Voices of R&B

From soaring ballads to sensual anthems, this episode celebrates the power of voice. The singers who turned emotion into melody and left an indelible mark on culture.

Episode 5. Dancehall and Reggae Vibes

The heartbeat of the Caribbean. A journey through Dancehall and Reggae, the sounds that ignited global sound systems and influenced Hip-Hop, R&B and beyond.

Episode 6. Hip-Hop Evolution

From New York’s boom bap to Atlanta’s trap, Hip-Hop has never stopped evolving. This chapter explores the sounds, flows, and stories that shaped the culture across decades.

Episode 7. The Sample Culture

Old grooves, new anthems. An exploration of the art of sampling and how Funk, Soul, and Jazz loops became the DNA of Hip-Hop and R&B.

Episode 8. Future Soul and Nu Jazz

Looking ahead at contemporary innovators blending Soul, Jazz, and experimental sounds. A glimpse into where Black music is heading: bold, fresh, and limitless.
